This morning let's pause and offer a prayer for those who have sacrificed to give us the freedoms we take too much for granted and a prayer that we will be
able to retain them.
Among them was my great-grandfather and namesake, who died with the Second Massachusetts Heavy Artillery in North Carolina about a month before the Civil War ended.
